• CCT provides a small and personalized group tour environment where students have firsthand exposure to each campus setting, the college's curriculum and overall advantages as explained by college representatives and student tour guides.

• By learning the admission requirements of colleges they visit, students will be able to set academic and personal goals early in high school, which in turn increases their chances of being accepted by their college of choice.

• Exposing students to several college campuses when making their decision ensuring ultimately a better match between college and student.

There is no substitute for seeing a college for yourself!

There are several ways to evaluate a college, from brochures to video to college fairs. But nothing beats going to a college and seeing it for yourself. A campus visit is your opportunity to get a firsthand view of a college. Since, college websites and catalogs are limited at best; visiting a college will enable you to really get a feel for the school. You can walk around the quad, sit in on a class, visit the bookstore, or visit the dorms. Also, a college visit gives you the chance to meet faculty member, financial aide staff, admission personnel, and current students. These current students can give you answers to questions, such as:

• What are the average class size, and the students to faculty ratio?
• How are the dorms kept up?
• Is the library adequate?
• Are most classes taught by professors or by teaching assistants?
• What is the campus meal plan like? How is the food?
• What is the make-up of the current freshman class? Is the campus fairly diverse?
• Are the student newspapers independently produced?
• What's the social scene like?
• What kinds of activities are planned by the college's student affairs office?
Is there ample space in dorms or does there seem to be a housing crunch?
• How many students live off campus?

Spending time on a campus allows you to determine if a school is a good match. You will obtain enough information that will enable you to synthesis the best decision.
